Challenges:

‍‍One of Germany's top 20 enterprises sought to reduce its IT costs, improve its Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and enhance its security framework to better address emerging cyber risks. With 120 critical workloads in play, the company needed an effective migration strategy to optimize operations, improve performance, and ensure long-term security across its infrastructure.

Approach and Actions Taken:

1. Cloud Strategy Definition: A customized cloud evolution plan for each critical application was developed, focusing on optimizing performance while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
2. Lift and Shift Migration: An efficient "lift and shift" approach was implemented, followed by profitability analyses to assess the financial benefits of the migration to the cloud.
3. Multi-modal Governance Model: A governance model was established to manage a hybrid IT environment, covering on-premise infrastructure, managed cloud services, and user support.
4. Data Security: We ensured robust data security by designing, implementing, and continuously managing security services that met the company's compliance requirements and protected against rising cyber threats, focusing on risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
5. Agile Coaching: Agile methodologies were introduced, with coaching provided to the IT teams to help them adopt and integrate agile processes into their daily operations and cloud migration efforts.
